Georgia Juanita Deel was born May 18, 1932 north of Bokchito, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James Leslie Browning and Gertrude Lorene (Cobb) Browning. She lived around Bokchito her entire life. Juanita married Douglas Leon Deel on November 17, 1950, they were married over 70 years. She was a devoted Christian wife and mother, she loved her family dearly. Juanita was an excellent seamstress and great cook. She enjoyed talking to friends and attending the First Baptist Church in Bokchito and was a member of the Bokchito Cemetery Association.
Juanita departed this life to be with her heavenly Father on Sunday December 27, 2020 at Sherman, Texas. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Douglas of the home, sons, Dickie Deel and wife Kathleen of Durant, Gary Deel and Lisa Jordan of Bokchito, sister, Melba Mitchell of Hurst, Texas, sisters-in-law, Linda Browning and Gladys Ruth White of Bokchito, grandchildren, Daryl Deel of Caddo, Oklahoma, Kendra Gonzalez and husband Saul of Katy, Texas, and Jason Deel and wife Sarah of Durant, and great-grandchildren, Carter, Ava, Grant and Isaac Gonzalez of Katy, Texas. In addition, numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Deel was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Browning, and two children, Darrel Lynn Deel and James Timothy Deel.
Pallbearers are Terry Reece, Jarod Stanley, Chad Morris, Ray Hawks, Shawn Jarvus, and Johnny Bundurant. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Toler, Neville Wilson, Walter Prentice, and Ross Phillips.
Due to concerns with COVID, a family only graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday January 5, 2021 at the Bokchito Cemetery Pavilion in Bokchito, Oklahoma with Preston Burns officiating. There will not be family night or a family meal. However, a celebration of her life will be planned for later in 2021.
