Jim Coe was born Monday, December 27, 1915 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Hershel Wade Coe & Zora Effie (Mulkey) Coe. He passed from this life on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years.

Jim worked as an electrician and owned Coe Electic Company. Jim also worked for Durant Public Schools. Mr. Coe was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Bokchito. In his elder years he still attended church on Sunday's and Wednesday evening services. Jim served in the United States Army during WWII in the field artillery.

On May 24, 1941 he married Una B. Nichols. She precedes him in death.

Surviving Relatives; son, James Coe & wife Judith of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister, Jean Norton of Longview, Texas; two grandchildren, Andrew Coe of Boston, Massachusetts; Jennifer Mauck of Edmond, Oklahoma; two great grandchildren, Abigail Mauck of Edmond, Oklahoma; Zachary Mauck of Edmond, Oklahoma; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death; parents, Hershel & Zora Coe; two brothers and one sister.

,p> Family Hour will be 7-8 P.M. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home. Services will be held, 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 5, 2010, Bokchito First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Neal, David Craige, Doug Deel, Alvin Franklin, David Owens, Scott Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers include: Raymond Haddix and Arvil Hatcher.
