Curtis Sanford Bishop of Bokchito, Oklahoma was born to Sanford Marion and Mittie Francis (Hartless) Bishop on Sunday February 10, 1924 in Yarnaby , Oklahoma. He passed away Wednesday February 2, 2011 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years 11 months and 23 days.

Curtis was a member of the Yarnaby Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family but he absolutely love go hunting and fishing.

Curtis is survived by his sons Jimmy Bishop and wife Kay of Columbus, Ohio Paul Bishop and wife Winona of Bokchito, Oklahoma, daughter Brenda Boston and husband Larry of Durant, Oklahoma, brother Billy Joe Bishop and wife Kitty of Gordonville, Texas, sister Ruth Hamby of Dallas, Texas. 11 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren.

Numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents "Sant" and "Fannie" Bishop, brothers; Ernest and Henry Bishop, sisters; Vera Gallagher, Eula Trim and Corene Ingram.

We would like to extend a special thank-you to Penny McCann, niece, of Bokchito, Oklahoma for her loving care.

Services for Curtis Bishop will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at the Faith Baptist Church in Bokchito, Oklahoma with the Rev. Scott Melton officiating. Interment will follow in Bokchito Cemetery Bokchito, Oklahoma. Serving as Pallbearers will be Marvin Ingram, Mickey Ingram, Mark Ingram, Billy Ingram, Allen Shivers and George Shivers Jr.
