Bobbie "Shorty" Cundiff Adams passed from this earth on Monday, January 2, 2012 in Blue, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years 7 month and 11 days. She was born to Gordon and Bessie (Cummings) Cundiff on Friday, May 22, 1931 in Olney, Texas. Bobbie married Floyd âI.Fâ Adams in Durant, Oklahoma on Saturday, September 16, 1950.
Bobbie was a member of the Methodist faith and enjoyed spending time reading her bible. She had many hobbies; knitting, crocheting, working crossword puzzles and tending her flower garden. Bobbie was the owner and operator of The Town and Country Beauty Shop for many years
But the most important thing in her life was her family. Mrs. Adams is survived by her daughter, Deena Perkins of Blue, Oklahoma; grandchildren, L.E. "Stone" Burland and wife Carol of Borger, Texas, Sherri "Pebbles" Burland and husband Jerry Lawton of Durant, Oklahoma, Bobby "Craig" Burland of Blue, Oklahoma and Floyd "Rock" Burland and wife Samantha of Blue, Oklahoma and 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Bessie Cundiff; husband, Floyd "I.F" Adams; brother, Kenneth Ray Cundiff.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Bokchito Cemetery in Bokchito, Oklahoma with Rev. Dan McLemore officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Fred Alvin Moores, Jerry Lawton, John Teel, Damien Ray Anderson, Floyd Burland and Bobby Burland.
