Frankie Jo Parris Summers, 67 years, 2 months and 19 days, passed away in Durant, Oklahoma on Monday, August 3, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1115 Gates Ave. in Durant. Elder David Altizer will be officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Brown's Funeral Service.

Family and Friends visitation will be held August 4 at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow service at Bennington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Gatlin, Joe Gage, Horace Bell, Michael Parris, Homer Alejo and Roberto Salas. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Cuellar and Mickey Stewart.

Frankie was born on May 16, 1948 in San Angelo, Texas to Carl and Mary Pittman Parris.

She attended school at Ft. Concho, Texas, Reagan, Texas and Lakeview, Texas and graduated from Ector High School in Odessa, Texas in 1968.

She was a Pioneer-bible teacher for Jehovah, provider for the elderly and an aid for special needs children. She loved helping people. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Frankie is survived by her daughter, Natalie Summers, of Durant, Oklahoma, mother, Mary Pittman Parris of Durant, brothers, Lynis Earl Parris {Clare} of DeLeon, Texas and Michael Carl Parris {Kim} of Durant, Oklahoma; aunts, Ula Mae Foote and Clara Gatlin {J.T.}, all of Durant; niece, China Cuellar; four great nephews; one great niece; sister in law, Sharon Strickland and a host of cousins and friends.

Frankie was preceded in death by her father, Carl Parris; maternal grandmother, Maggie Pisstubbee Pittman; paternal grandmother, Elsinore Pate Parris and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
