Peggy Ann Rich Smith

Peggy Ann Smith a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister, left this earthly life on Sunday September 23, 2018 at the age of 82. She was born in Bennington, Oklahoma on December 26, 1935 to Robert Tyree Rich and Lester Rich. Peggy was married to James Smith on May 22, 1970 in Tom Bean, Texas.

Peggy worked for many years as an inspector at Texas Instrument. She was a member of Reynold’s Chapel Baptist Church in Bokchito, Oklahoma. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and crocheting. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother with an avid sense of humor.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son Joseph Franklin and wife Lisa of Burleson, Texas, daughter Theresa Franklin of Bokchito, Oklahoma. Grandchildren: Nicholas Franklin of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Michael Franklin of Sherman Texas, Daniel Franklin and wife LeAudra of Bentonville, Arkansas, Sandi Davis and husband Buddy of Midland, Texas, Tony Petrie and wife Kimberly of Burleson, Texas, and Jeremey Petrie of Burleson, Texas. 10 Great-Grandchildren. Survived by sister Betty Horner of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Lucy Rich of Bokchito, Oklahoma and brother Joe Rich and wife Sue of Garland, Texas.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her son Ricky Franklin. Husband James Smith. Sister: Juanita Lowery, and Imagene Horner. Parents Robert and Lester Rich.

Visitation will be from 10-11:00AM Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Graveside service will begin at 2:00PM at the Bennington Cemetery in Bennington, Oklahoma with Brother Anthony Williams officiating.
