Thelda Haislip of Mead, Oklahoma passed from this life in Durant, Oklahoma on Friday, January 20, 2012 at the age of 69 years 11 months and 10 days. She was born in Bokchito, Oklahoma to Jesse Ellis and Thelma (Parker) Cox on Tuesday, February 10, 1942. Thelda married James Haislip on Saturday, April 2, 1960 in Bokchito, Oklahoma.Thelda dedicated her life to caring for her family. She took great pride in being a stay at home mom.
Mrs. Haislip is survived by her husband, James Haislip of the home; son, James "Jimmy" Haislip of Rowlett, Texas; daughter, Jean Floyd of Mead, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Tasha Causey and husband Chase of Garland, Texas; grandson, Neil Floyd of Mead, Oklahoma; great-grandsons, Isaiah, Clayton and Jaxon; sisters, Gail Kropp of Silo, Oklahoma, LaDell Cruz of New Jersey and Phyllis Montgomery of Mead, Oklahoma; mother, Thelma Cox of Durant, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Haislip was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Cox.
Family Hour will be from 7-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Charles Parker officiating.Serving as pallbearers will be Todd Kropp ,Brad Kropp, David Floyd, and Neil Floyd. Interment will follow at Bennington Cemetery, Bennington, Oklahoma.
