Gerry Ernest Haislip, 68 of Bokchito, Oklahoma went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Durant, Oklahoma. Gerry was born to Archie Chester and Katherine (Graham) Haislip on May 3, 1946 in Paris, Texas. He married Ellen Maxwell on September 11, 1992 in Durant, Oklahoma.

Gerry was raised in Bennington, Oklahoma and attended Family Worship Center of Bokchito. He served 2 terms in the US Air Force from 1965-1968 and 1973-1975. Gerry worked for Bennington Public Works Authority and Rural Water District #7 for 16 years. He was also self-employed from 1983-2010. He loved watching wrestling and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen and grandchildren Kaci, Jaci, Maci, and Gerry (Bubba) of the home. Sons: Joey Dean and wife Elitha of Bokchito, Jami Haislip of Bokchito, Brent Haislip and wife Michelle of Durant, and Tim Scott and wife Jessica of Bokchito. Daughter: Sherrie Bragg of Bennington. Daughter-in-law: Shanda Boston of Caddo. Brothers: James Haislip and his late wife Thelda of Mead, William Chester Haislip and wife Mary Lynn of Oregon and John Haislip and wife Vivian of Bennington. Sisters: Marty Haislip of Bennington, Dovie Wigley of SanJacinto, CA, Janet Knight of Bennington, Devon Harvill and husband John of Rowlett, TX, Levon Martin of Bennington, and Barbara Robbins and husband Joe of Bennington.

Grandchildren: Jeffrey Larkins and wife Brittany, Amber and Jacob Dean, Katherine Bragg, Johnathan Fuller, Tara and Tyra Burch, Kaci, Jaci, Maci, and Gerry (Bubba) Haislip, Erika, Brady and Breana Haislip, Brandi Mendoza, Dallas, Brilynn, Tanner, and Connor Scott, Brook Boston, and Hayden and Halo Wininger. Great-Grandchildren: Brody Laxton and Aiden Turman. Special nephew Johnny Ashby and great nephew Kenneth (Chip) Ashby of Bokchito. Special nieces Pam Reynolds of Bennington and Krista Ashby of Bokchito and great niece Macie Ashby of Bokchito. Numerous other family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Twin brother Jerry Haislip, and brothers Dale and Stonmon Haislip and son Kris Boston.

Family Hour will be 6:00~7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015, Holmes ~ Coffey ~ Murray Chapel 121 N. 5th ST, Durant with Bro. Phillip Rowland officiating. Interment will follow at Bennington Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Ashby, Allen Scott, Chris Reynolds, Wayne Minyard, Gene Percell and Jerry Ben Allen. Honorary pallbearers Johnny Mays, James Clark and Brad Reynolds.
