Wilma (Francil) Butler was born October 31, 1927 in Bennington, Ok. She passed from this earthly life and begin her Heavenly life on May 24, 2015 at the age of 87. Francil lived her entire life in Bryan County.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Holmes-Coffey- Murray. There will be no family hour. Viewing of the body will be before the service. Clark Harp and Charles Williams will be officiating.
Francil was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Alma Butler, brother Wilburn Frank, Charlie (Gene) Butler and Carlos Ray Butler. She was dearly loved by surviving Sister, Shirley Jestis of Durant, and husband Karl, one brother Johnny Butler of Denton, TX, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Francil was a christian who dedicated her life to serving the lord. She worked in vacation bible school, BCM, was a Sunday School Teacher and rarely ever missed Service at Bennington First Baptist Church, sometimes walking a mile to the Church. She worked as a care giver for several ladies making sure their house was cleaned and preparing their meals. She was also a Durant Daily Democrat paper girl walking all over Bennington delivering papers. Francil and her mother, Alma Butler also kept children until they started to school. Alma's daughter Shirley said they did a better job raising those children than she did her own.
Francil was a very giving person and was always making gifts for her friends. One of Francil's best friend was Leona (Lauderdale) Works.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Holmes-Coffey- Murray. Interment will follow in the Bennington Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews Chris Butler, Brad Butler, Michael Butler, Tim Moore, and friends Randal Cook and Russell Cook.
