Rebecca Jane Smith, a resident of Durant, Oklahoma, and beloved wife and mother, passed from this life on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at the age of 74 years and 28 days. She was born in Durant, Oklahoma to Buford Henry and Ella Mae (Morrison) Mason. Rebecca married Raymond E. Smith, Sr. in Durant, Oklahoma on April 8, 1961.
Rebecca was the owner and operator of the Garden & Landscaping Company in Denison, Texas for 30 years. She was a member of the Baptist faith, and the Miners Museum in Coalgate, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Raymond E. Smith, Sr. of Durant, Oklahoma; son, Raymond E. Smith, Jr. of Midwest City, Oklahoma; daughters, Rebecca Stafford of Denison, Texas, Renaye Smith of Durant, Oklahoma, Rhonda Kranning of Durant, Oklahoma, and Regina Laburda of Bonham, Texas.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Buford and Ella Mason; son, Ralph Smith; and sister, Rita Glennon.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 Monday May 1st at the Albany Cemetery in Albany, Oklahoma.
