NaDean Musgrove, age 89, of Albany, Oklahoma, passed away on November 30, 2021, at home. Born at Wade on November 4, 1932, she was the daughter of Carl Lee and Edith (McIntire) Holder and the wife of the late William Andrew Musgrove. NaDean and William were long-time farmers and ranchers in Bryan County, meeting in 1942 when the Musgroves moved to Albany. When NaDean was 15, William started courting, riding his horse Dixie to her house for a visit on the front porch.

NaDean was a member of the Albany Baptist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. NaDean was one of the last of a long line of farmers who migrated from England, Scotland, Germany, and Ireland moving west with the frontier through Tennessee and Arkansas to settle in Oklahoma.

She is survived by a son William Lee Musgrove of Albany; daughters Andrea (Paul) Perisho and Velda Musgrove both of Fort Myers, Florida, Darla (Wayne) Waddell of Sparta, Georgia, and Jana O’Guin of McKinney, Texas; sisters Jeanette Dirickson of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Carla Sue Blackmon of Denison, Texas; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents and husband; sister, Betty Marie Lake; and brother, Verlin Holder.

At 2 pm on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, a memorial service will be held at Albany Baptist Church. Prior to the service, dinner will be available from noon to 1 pm at the Albany Wade Senior Center.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Albany Wade Senior Center, 107 Wade Street, Albany, OK 74721.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, Durant.
