Clara Lucille Greenhaw a resident of Albany, Oklahoma passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the age of 74 years 3 months and 24 days. She was born on July 5, 1940 in Choctaw County, Oklahoma to William Jackson and Josephine (Hattie) Herndon.
Clara was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Bokchito, Oklahoma. She loved to play board games, cards, work puzzles, reading books and reading her bible.
Mrs. Greenhaw is survived by her children, Alvin (Danny) Greenhaw of Albany, Oklahoma, Noel (Lanuel) Greenhaw and wife Carla of Calera, Oklahoma, Ruthann Johnson and husband Billy of Hugo, Oklahoma and James (J.B.) Greenhaw and wife Tammie of Albany, Oklahoma; siblings, Laura Addkison and husband Buzzy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Noel Lawson and wife Lena of Ada, Oklahoma, Fred Lawson and wife Ellis of Milburn, Oklahoma, Ida Mae Pickett (Sissy) and husband Donald of Albany, Oklahoma, Dorthy Greenhaw and husband Thomas of Utica, Oklahoma, Ruby Stoneking and husband Richard of Albany, Oklahoma, Johnny Lawson and wife Linda of Albany, Oklahoma and Beverly Lawson of Bokchito, Oklahoma; father of her children, Wesley Greenhaw; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Greenhaw was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Josephine Lawson; brothers, Albert Lawson, Floyd Lawson, Henry Lawson and Ronnie Lawson.
The family will receive friends at Clara's home in Albany on Friday, October 31st. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma with Pastor Daniel Cress officiating. Interment will follow at Albany Cemetery Albany. The pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Randell Greenhaw, Kelly Greenhaw, Ricky Lawson, Johnny Lawson, Jack Lawson, Billy Lawson and Brad Smith.
