Juanita Henin Cranson

Juanita Cranson a beloved family member and resident of Albany, Oklahoma passed from this life in Greenville, Texas on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born in Albany, Oklahoma on Sunday, August 14, 1927 to Wilford and Mabel (Nabors) Henin. Juanita married Amzie on August 11, 1949.

She enjoyed playing dominoes, slot machines at the casinos and bingo. Juanita liked going to John Teel’s auctions, working in her garden, sewing quilts and going fishing. She loved her children and considered her grandchildren and great-grandchildren her greatest blessing.

Mrs. Cranson is survived by her son, Frank Cranson and wife Donna of Albany, Oklahoma; daughter, Kathy Bokies and husband Billy of Durant, Oklahoma; step-son, Amzie Cranson, Jr. of Cleveland, Oklahoma; beloved grandchildren, John Cranson and wife Mandi of Farmerville, Texas, Kayla Dunham and husband Larry of Lone Oak, Texas and Mary Young of Durant, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Jagar Copeland, Kaydence Young, Landon Dunham, Garrett Cranson, Kodi Dunham and Valerie Cranson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cranson was preceded in death by her husband, Amzie Cranson; parents, Mabel and Wilford Henin; sisters, Loretta Newman and Norene Chapman; brothers, Leon Gannon, Pete Gannon, J.C. Gannon and Buddy Gannon.

Family Hour will be from 5-6:00 PM on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A Chapel service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Pastor Jesse West officiating. Burial will follow immediately after at the Albany Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be Jerry Heflin, Bubba Spruill, Terry Smith, Frank Stricklen, Corky Staton and Red Castleberry. Honorary pallbearers will be John Teel, Jimmy Dunegan, William Newman and John Newman.
