James Allan Castleberry a longtime resident of Albany, Oklahoma and beloved family member passed from this life in Durant, Oklahoma into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the age of 83 years 10 months and 26 days.

He was born on Sunday, February 7, 1932 in Albany, Oklahoma to James Glen and Lillie Avas Brewer Castleberry. James married Billie Ruth Sullivan in Rockwall, Texas on December 22, 1952.

James dedicated his life to educating children as a teacher and principal. He was a Crop Insurance Adjuster and farmer by trade.

Mr. Castleberry is survived by his wife, Billie Ruth of the home; sons, "Red" James Arthur Castleberry and wife Deanne of Albany, Oklahoma, Edward Keith Castleberry of Albany, Oklahoma and Steve Mark Castleberry and wife Mary Lackey of Bonham, Texas; grandchildren, Lacy Castleberry Hunt of Albany, Oklahoma, Mandi Calaway of Duplex, Texas, Travis Glen Castleberry of Bonham, Texas, Caleb Trent Castleberry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sarah Whittington of Woodbine, Texas, Krystal Salinas of Gainsville, Texas, Jessie Castleberry of Marietta, Oklahoma, Benjamin Crocker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Levi Crocker of Lakeway, Florida; honorary children, Bobby Leroy, Joe Donald, Mary Boyd, Glenda Sue, Buddy Crunk, Joan Ella, Jimmy Dell and Peggy Marie Sullivan.

Mr. Castleberry was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillie Castleberry; sister, Glenna Faye Dansby {twin} and great-grandsons, Hagen Lander and Wesley Calder Mantooth.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A chapel service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Bro. Jackie Robinson and James Dunegan officiating.

Interment will follow at Albany Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lowell Moss, Jeff Williams, Andrew Bell, Randy Sullivan, Kerry Sullivan, Johnny Bennett, Brent Sullivan and Chris Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers Brent Sullivan, Johnny Bennett and Steve Callahan.
