Viola McIntire Cain

Viola Cain, 95, was born March 16, 1919 in Bryan County, Oklahoma to Hendrix & Zula (Todd) McIntire and joined the Lord on November 23, 2014 at Oklahoma City. She married Bill Polk Cain on December 24, 1940. Shortly thereafter, they supported the WWII flyers, working in an airplane factory in San Diego, CA. Following the war, they returned to Albany, OK where they raised cattle and farmed. Viola retired from the Bryan County Clerk's office in 1986. She was a master gardener and a faithful, lifelong member of Albany Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 40 years.

She is survived by Daughter Jo Anna Deen of Oklahoma City; Son Larry Cain of Dallas; Sisters Evelyn Conditt of San Angelo, TX, Lois Tignor of Durant and Mary Connelly of Rowlett, TX; Brother Clyde McIntire of Wade, OK; Grandchildren John Cain and wife Stephanie of Caddo, Sue Anderson and husband John of Midland, TX, Lonnie Donica of Oklahoma City; and Makenzie and Mallorie Cain of Dallas; Great-Grandchildren Trent and Loren Cain of Caddo, and Sarah and David Anderson of Midland, TX.

Viola was preceded in death by husband Bill in 2001; Parents Hendrix & Zula McIntire; Brothers Virgil, Hollis, and Lester McIntire; and Sisters Edith Holder and Hazel Akin.

A family hour will be one hour before service from 1-2:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel with Rev. Dan McLemore officiating. Interment will follow at Albany Cemetery. The pallbearers will be James Akin, Steve Carman, Lonnie Donica, Danny McIntire, Jerry Heflin, and Don Staton.
