Glenna Ruth Adams Barr

Glenna Ruth (Adams) Barr entered into life on July 22, 1932 in Spur, Texas born to Frank and Levie (Stewart) Adams and entered into eternal rest on March 11, 2015 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 7 months and 17 days. Glenna married Kenneth C. Barr on January 8, 1950 in Clovis, New Mexico and they were blessed with 45 years together until Kenneth’s passing on January 27, 1995.

Glenna graduated from Lubbock High School in 1949 and they moved to Bryan County in 1969. She worked as a veterinarian assistant for the Bryan Co. Animal Hospital until her retirement. She was of the Baptist faith and she dearly loved people and animals.

Glenna was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Levie Adams; husband Kenneth C. Barr; sisters, Oletha Adams, Atha Mitchell and Joyce Donowho and brother, Marcell Adams.

Glenna is survived by several brothers and sisters in law and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, March 16, 2015 at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow in Albany Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 2-4 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
