Angus Blindy, 80, died Tuesday, September 8, 1981, in a Clinton hospital. The
Rev. Douglas Deer officiated at services at Union Baptist Church, Watonga, on
Saturday, September 12, and interment was in the Mennonite Cemetery south of
Canton.
Born September 19, 1900, to James and Lydia Blindy, he formerly
lived northwest of Watonga and for about the past 20 years had resided in Geary.
He had done farm work before retiring and was an Arapaho tribal member.
Survivors include seven daughters, Marie Rouse of Clinton, Jo Ann Soap of
Stilwell and Mary K. Sweezee, Marjorie Blindy, Stella Charley, Carol Steele and
Anita Campbell, all of Geary; two sons, Leroy and James Blindy, both of Geary; a
brother, Oscar Tabor, Oklahoma City; a sister, Edna Cleveland, Watonga; 27
grandchildren, and four great – grandchildren.
