Jamie D. Hightower Young, 36, was born March 6, 1972, to James Arthur and Carol Doris (Geeslin) Hightower in Watonga, OK. She went home to be with her Lord and her Daddy on Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, in Houston, TX.

Jamie graduated from Watonga High School in 1990. She received a bachelors degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi, TX.

She married Tyrone Young May 25, 2007, in Greenfield, OK. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Watonga.

Jamie is survived by her husband, Tyrone Young of the home in Houston, TX; two step-sons, Sean Michael and Jason Anthony Young, RI; mother, Carol Ramer and husband Dick, Watonga; one brother, Todd Hightower and wife Toni, Watonga; one nephew, Colten Hightower, Watonga; and grandparents, Joe and Artie Geeslin, Greenfield, OK.; aunts and uncles, Joe and Ann Morgan, Asheboro, N.C., Moe and Kathy Dillard, Loyal, OK., Richard and Sandra Hightower, Watonga, Gary and Phyllis Hightower,Watonga, OK, David and Leslie Hightower, Thomas, OK., two step-sisters, Staci Evans and husband Kevin, Panola, OK., and Angela Ramer,Edmond, OK., Mother-in-law, Alice Young, RI; as well as her best friends, her cousins, many other relatives and friends.

Jamie was preceded in death by her father, James Hightower; grandparents, Wayne and Louise Hightower; one special great-aunt, Flossie Boon; step-brother, Devon Ramer; and father-in-law, Rodney Young.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Rock of Restoration Church, I-40 West, Exit 108, Geary. The Revs. Greg Zoschak, Dick Ramer and Myron Brooks will officiate. Burial will be in I.O.O.F Cemetery, Watonga. Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Home, Geary. Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Family and friend viewing will be from 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
