Roger A Robinson

Roger A Robinson
January 16, 1941 ~ Feb 16, 2021

Roger A Robinson was born January 16,1941. To parents Howard and Luvertise Robinson and was called home to Glory February 16, 2021 at the age of 80.

Roger was the fourth child born out of five children in the family. He attended Dunbar High school until the 10th grade and continued his education and graduated from Watonga High school May 1958. Roger enjoyed playing basketball and football while attending school there. Shortly after graduation, Roger joined the Army where he took Basic Training and advanced into Infantry Training in Fort Riley, Kansas.

During his time of service, he was stationed at numerous Bases such as, Fort Louis (E-6) as Staff Sergeant, and Fort Campbell (E-2) Private, as well as Serving in several Overseas Tours; including Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. First Class Sergeant Robinson then remained at the Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center until his retirement.

Roger met and married the love of his life, Mary Ann Bunks ; their Marital Union lasted three years. Several years later He then married Sue Seballoz in Denver, Colorado ; their marriage lasted for six years and no children was born into this union.

Sergeant Robinson worked for the Federal Government at the Bureau of Mines Finance in Lakewood, Colorado for many years. As well at the V.A. Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. He then returned back to his hometown in Watonga and worked at the Apple Market until he resigned to take care of his Mother.

Roger is proceeded in death by, his Father Howard Robinson, his Mother Luvertise Robinson, Sisters Phyllis Waller, Doris Becton, and Brother Clayson Robinson.

Roger is survived by Sister Jequita (Norma Jean) Walker.

Special Nephew Keo D. Walker, Special Nieces Shirl Dempsey, Cheryl R. Walker, Tara Waller and Host of Loving Nieces , Nephews, Cousins, Family and Friends

Homegoing services for Deacon Roger A. Robinson will be held Saturday, February 27th, 2021 at 1PM at the Power House Church of God in Christ with Pastor Chuck Kearney officiating. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
