Cathy Ann Ray was born September 15, 1960 at Watonga, Oklahoma to Ronnie Lee and Carole (Moore) Dunn and passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the age of 62. Cathy was a resident of the Watonga community for most of her life. She worked for several years for a local florist, then was a secretary of Morgan Law Office, and after that she worked at First State Bank as a bank teller and bookkeeper. She attended Watonga High School and graduated in 1978. Cathy was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She married Ricky Ray at the United Methodist Church in Watonga, Oklahoma on February 8, 1980.
Cathy was an avid gardener and she loved to mow and keep her yard tidy. She also enjoyed anytime she was able to spend with her grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her father, one brother-in-law, Tom Morgan, and her uncle Donald Moore.
She is survived by one son, Ty Ray and wife Toni, of Weatherford, Oklahoma; one daughter, Taylor Bailey and husband T.j. of Watonga, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Tyton Ray, Tinleigh Bailey, Tyger Ray, Takota Bailey, and Tyrone Ray; one brother, one sister, and her mother.
Graveside services for Cathy Ray will be held Friday, November 11, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga, Oklahoma with Pastor Dianna Matli officiating and Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
There will be no public viewing at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
