Penelope "Penny" (Osburn) Lamle
January 9, 1943 ~ September 14, 2022

Penelope (Penny) Osburn Lamle was born on January 9, 1943, in Hitchcock, OK, to Elvest and Pauline Osburn, and died September 14, 2022, in Enid, OK, at the age of 79. She and her family lived in Hitchcock, OK, where she attended school until her senior year, when Hitchcock High School closed. She graduated from Watonga High School in 1960. She married Walter Eugene Lamle on September 2, 1967, in Hitchcock, OK, and they made their home in Watonga, OK.

She began working for Dr. Cox and then later worked for Pioneer Telephone Company. She began work at Watonga State Bank in 1968 and worked there for over 30 years until her retirement. She came out of retirement and worked at First State Bank for over 10 years. Penny was also a member and past president of Watonga Kiwanis Club and the Watonga Chamber of Commerce; she assisted with the Watonga Cheese Festival for many years. She was also a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing board games and card games with her friends and family. She loved growing flowers and watching the birds. The highlight o f her life was the grandchildren and great grandchildren; she loved attending their sporting events and band performances and anytime she was able to see them. She loved snuggling and feeding her grandkids and her face would beam like sunshine whenever they would call her Oma.

Penny is survived by one daughter, Lexy Jobe, and husband Lanny, of Blackwell, OK. Two sons, Jason Lamle, and his wife Melissa, of Watonga, OK, and Joshua Lamle of Watonga, OK. Six grandchildren, Landon Jobe, Laryn Wirtz, logan Jobe, Lyndi Jobe, Julie Lamle, and Kenzie Lamle. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Aubree, Benson, and Andrew, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elvest and Pauline Osburn; her husband, Walter; one son, Darin Eugene Lamle, and two sisters, Patricia Hursh and Barbara Hocker.

Funeral services for Penny will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Watonga, with Pastor Orval Peters officiating. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. You may bring memorials to the service for the funeral staff to handle immediately or you may mail them to Wilkinson Mortuary at 208. N. Noble Avenue, Watonga, OK, 73772 and we will ensure that your memorial contribution is received.
