Charles “Charlie” Anthony Brown II was born September 29, 1964, at Watonga, Oklahoma, to Charles and Glenda Brown, and passed away February 8, 2024, at the age of 59.
He attended and graduated from Watonga high school and was a resident of the Watonga community for his whole life, where he worked in the oilfield, as well as being a farmer. He was married to Kelli Brewer in 1982; the two were married for 27 years and from their union three children were born, one son and two daughters. He remarried, in 2010, to Becky Goddard, and the two remained together until 2022.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Brown, and his grandparents, Wayne and Laverne Ivins, and Darlie and Albert Franklin Brown.
He is survived by one son…………………. Gregory Charles Brown, of Watonga, Oklahoma
Two daughters………………………………….. Kristen Jane Ashby and McKenzie Brown, both of Watonga, Oklahoma.
One sister…………………………………………. Shelly Sawyer, and husband Bart, of Watonga, Oklahoma.
Father………………………………………………. Charles (Chuck) Antony Brown, and wife Lova.
Four grandchildren…………………………… Madison Jane, Jade Pheonix, Gabriel David Earl and James Charles Lockhart.
A celebration of life for Charles “Charlie” Brown, will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 10:00 A.M., at the First Baptist Church in Watonga, with Pastor Rick Vermillion officiating. The burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with Wilkinson Mortuary handling the arrangements.
