Billie Jo (Jackson) Ashton

September 4, 1927 ~ June 23, 2008

The funeral for Billie Jo Ashton, 80, of Watonga, will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Assembly of God Church, Watonga. The Reverend Doug Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in I00F Cemetery, Watonga. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Watonga. She was born September 4, 1927, in Avery, Texas, to R. D. and Sally Jackson and died Monday, June 23, 2008, in Watonga.

She lived in Watonga most of her life. She married Bill Ashton in July 1946. He died after 32 years of marriage. Surviving are one son, Dennis Jackson of Raytown, Missouri; three daughters, Linda Coffman of Okeene, Sandy Schechter of Salina, Kansas, and Sherry Marshall of Midland, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 39 great – grandchildren; and two great – great – grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Bill, she was preceded in death by one great – grandchild.
