Woodward, Okla.- Retha Janette (Bilbrey) Aldridge was born on July 3, 1932 in Duke, OK to Marvin Albert and Alta Mae (Porter) Bilbrey. She passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at her home in Mooreland, OK at the age of 78. She was united with Elmer Roy Aldridge on December 9, 1957 in OKC, OK. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1951, to Geary in 1971, and to Mooreland in October of 2010. Retha loved playing cards, watching birds and horses, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She worked as St. Anthony’s Hospital for many years.
Survivors Include: her children: Shirley Monroe of Geary, OK, Jerry Dixon and wife Dena of Waxahachie, TX, Peggy Tanner and husband Gary of Pacific, MO, Elmer Ray Aldridge and wife Kim of Mooreland, OK, Donna Peck and husband Dwight of Geary, OK, step-daughter, Lois Hicks of Geary, OK, and daughter-in-law Robbie Cherry of OKC,OK; 24 grandchildren: Tammy, Bub, Marcy, Missy, Nalani, Tiffany, Rebecca, Renessa, Lacey, Casey, Greg, Harvel, Tommy, Matt, Mark, William, Jerod, Adrinenne, Buddy, Chris, Emily, Ryan, Brook, and Bruce; great grandchildren: Brayden, Kasey, Cory, Celia, Mara, Ciara, Devin, Cale, Conner, Brody, Peyton, Parker, Miley, Malory, Andrew, and Connor; and 1 great great grandchild, 2 brothers: Ray Bilbrey and wife Yvonne of Whitesboro, TX, and Gerald Bilbrey and wife Ginger of Choctaw, OK; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and special friend, Mary Foster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Alta , step-dad Carl Smith, husband, Elmer Aldridge, brother, Marless (Red) Bilbrey, and son, Wayne Cherry, and son-in-law, Ronnie Monroe.
