The funeral for Velma L. Umdenstock, 78, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Waukomis Christian Church. The Rev. Randy Miles will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery at Okeene. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Enid.

She was born July 9, 1915, in Hammond to Brunner Dolphus and Mattie May Morris Picklesimer and died Friday, Dec. 3, 1993, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Stockton, Calif. She attended Elk City Public School. On July 9, 1940, she married Leo J. Umdenstock in Enid where they made their home. He died Aug. 3, 1982. She was the office manager of Wicker Transfer and Storage for many years before retirement. She is a memberof the Waukomis Christian Church, past president of American Business Women's Association and active in ABWA for 31 years.

Surviving are two sons, Paul of Stockton and Jack of Waukomis; and four grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church's building fund or to ABWA Scholarship Fund.
