GILBERT E. MCPHETERS

OKEENE - Gilbert E. McPheters, 78, died Monday in an Okeene nursing home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Landes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Hart officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Okeene.

McPheters was born in Missouri and came to Oklahoma as a young man. He was a long time employee of Okeene Milling Company and City of Okeene until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Lizzie, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Kathleen) Sanchez, Derby, Kansas; four sons, Earl, of Enid, Wesley, Omaha, Nebraska, Lester, Monahans, Texas, and Robert, Okeene; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Miss Ethel McPheters, Okeene.
