Okeene-Graveside service for Olinda, 89, will be Friday, June 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with arrangements by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Okeene. Viewing will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Facebook – Lanman Funeral Home Inc.
Olinda Nusz McBride was born on August 21, 1927 in Okeene to Carl Nusz and Eva Rush Nusz and passed from this life on June 21, 2017 in Okeene. She attended Arapaho School through the eighth grade and graduated from Okeene High School. Olinda was a lifetime resident of the Okeene area with the exception of living in Wyoming for a short time. In 1950 she married Jim McBride in El Reno. They had two children: Lonnie Martin McBride and Cindy Carleen McBride. She helped Jim with a custom combining crew for 38 years and traveled from Texas to Montana, never missing a day of work. Olinda also worked at the Watonga Hospital and the old Okeene Hospital as a nurse’s aide and later worked at the drug store in Okeene for Jim Hafner. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Okeene.
Those who preceded Olinda in death include her children, Cynthia McBride and son, Lonnie McBride; sisters, Alice Irion, Edna Schnell and Lena Osmus; brothers, Roy and Raymond Nusz.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; brother, Jim Nusz and wife, Twilla; three grandchildren, Karie Lane McBride, Summer Zink and Skyler Wissman; three great grandchildren, Jordan Brown, Kari McBride and Kymbree McBride and several step great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the funeral home on behalf of the family.
