LONNIE MARTIN McBRIDE

A graveside service for Lonnie Martin McBride, 55, of Okeene will be 1 p.m. Monday in Roselawn Cemetery, Okeene. Dave Wesner, pastor, will officiate. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home Inc., Okeene. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Monday.

He was born Feb. 13, 1952, in Watonga to Jimmy and Olinda Nusz McBride and died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He attended Loyal school through second grade. His family moved to Wyoming in 1961 and to Colorado in 1969. They spent a short time in Kansas and moved to Okeene, where he graduated from Okeene High School in 1970. He worked as a machinist at Farley’s Machine Shop in Colorado and later became shop manager for Farley’s in Great Bend, Kan. He later moved back to Oklahoma and worked for BB Machine Shop in Enid.

Surviving are one son, Karie McBride; his parents, Jim and Olinda McBride of Okeene; one stepson, Skyler Wissman of Hayes, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Summer Wissman of Ellinwood, Kan.; and one stepgrandson.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the charity of choice.
