The funeral for Thelma Marcella Leisher, 87, of Fairview will be 2 p.m. Tuesday
at Central Christian Church, Fairview. The Revs. Brenton Haworth and Leslie
Michaelson will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Okeene. Arrange-ments
are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.
She was born Sept. 9, 1918, in Latham, Kan., to George and Leila Morlan and died
Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, at Fairview Fellowship Home, Fairview.
She grew up in Latham and moved to Okeene in 1933. She graduated from Okeene
High School in 1936.
She married Frank Dale Leisher June 3, 1945, in Snyder. They made their home
east of Okeene, where they owned and operated a Grade A dairy for 30 years and
then raised wheat and beef cattle until retirement. He died Nov. 18, 1991.
She was a member of Okeene Order of Eastern Star and PEO chapter, Okeene. She
was also a member of First Christian Church, serving as Sunday school teacher.
She was an active volunteer in FHA Chapter of Okeene and VFW Ladies Auxiliary,
Okeene. She moved to Fairview in 2001.
Surviving are one son, Dennis Leisher of Fairview; one sister, Maureene O’Kelley
of Duncan; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Frank, she was preceded in death by one son.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Central Christian Church,
Fairview.
