Willadean (Lehr) Hendricks was born October 3, 1933 in the township of Homestead, Oklahoma to Carl and Tena (Mondick) Lehr. She departed this life on Friday, December 25, 2020 in Weatherford, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years.
Willadean graduated from Okeene High School with the class of 1951. She worked several jobs in Okeene including working for Nease Insurance 30 plus years and then for the Town of Okeene, serving as City Clerk until her retirement.
She married the love of her life, Carl Thomas Hendricks, on October 7, 1952. They were blessed with two sons, William (Bill) Edward and Clayton Thomas. Willadean and Carl enjoyed collecting antiques together, and in their retirement, they spent their summers in Nathrop, Colorado making wonderful lifetime friends. They enjoyed finding new treasures to sell in their booth located in the El Reno Antique Mall.
After Carl’s death in 1999, Willadean enjoyed her coffee mornings with the ladies at Luckie Drug; judging the Easter coloring contest for the local school; and traveling. She was always willing to help with local projects when needed. She was a lifetime member of the Okeene First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Bill and Terry of Fairview; her grandchildren, Will (Stephanie) Hendricks of Tomball, TX; Jonea’ Hendricks (Jason White) of Katy, Texas; Megan, San Antonio, Chad and Katie of Tulsa; and two great-grandchildren, Kate and Wyatt of Tomball, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl and son, Clayton; siblings, Alma (Gerken), Ralph, Raymond, Eugene, Milton, and Ernie.
There will be a private graveside service at a future date. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the Okeene Hospital Foundation at 207 E. F Street, Okeene, OK 73763; the Okeene First United Methodist Church at 302 S. 5th St., Okeene Ok 73763; or a charity of your choice.
