Marilyn Sue Fisher
(August 22, 1939 - January 2, 2015)

Marilyn Sue Fisher age 75 of Purcell, passed away Friday, January 02, 2015 in Purcell after a brief illness. She was born August 22, 1939 in Ames, OK. She was the 3rd child of five children born to Ernest Campbell Craun and Grace Irene (Durgan) Craun. Marilyn grew up in Ames and graduated from Ames High School in 1957. That same year she married the love of her life, Wyeth Douglas Fisher. They were married on August 31, 1957 in Ames, OK. Marilyn and Doug lived in Okeene, OK their first ten years of marriage. There she worked as a wife and homemaker raising four children. In 1968, they moved to Purcell where Doug took a job working for Benefiel Ford. While in Purcell, Marilyn had various jobs before going to work full time as a secretary for the State of Oklahoma. She worked six years at LARC, then transferred to SORC in Pauls Valley where she later retired from in 2006. Marilyn was a gifted pianist since childhood. For over 40 years she taught piano lessons and was the church pianist at Purcell First Baptist Church and later at Union Hill Baptist. Throughout her life, she enjoyed gardening and working with crafts. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a special sister and aunt. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by: Parents: Ernest and Grace Craun; Three brothers: Carroll Dean Craun, Richard Craun and a younger infant brother;

She is survived by: Husband: Wyeth Doug Fisher of the home, Four children: Curtis Fisher & wife Lois of Purcell Devery Fisher & wife Robin of Caldwell, Idaho Sheila Fisher of Purcell, Lynette Mullens and husband Jay of Waxahachie, TX. One sister: Shirley Mitchell of Tampa, FL. Six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also many nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. A committal service will be at 2:00 PM at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Okeene, OK. Send online condolences @wilsonlittle.com
