Alice Jewel Melton Dotter, 79, Okeene
Graveside service for Alice Jewel Melton Dotter will be Friday, October 14, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery east of Okeene with Rev. Kenneth Wilcox officiating. Arrangements are by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Okeene. Condolences may be made online at http://www.lanmanfuneralhomes.com/. Visitation will be on Thursday at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Alice Jewel Melton Dotter passed into her eternal rest Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at the Okeene Hospital, Okeene, Oklahoma. She had been battling congestive heart failure for nearly a year. Alice wanted to express her deep appreciation to her beloved family and friends and the Okeene medical community. Her family is profoundly grateful for all the help and love given during this time and throughout her life
Alice is survived by her beloved husband Billy Dale Dotter, MD and their five devoted children and their spouses: William Scott Dotter of Clinton; Ann Evon and H. Paul Shurtz of Mechanicsburg, Penn.; Mark R. and Janet Dotter of Edmond; Debra Lea and Danny Blakley of Douglas and James Eric and Laurie Dotter of Boulder, Colo., Dr. Dotter and Alice have fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her surviving sisters are Esther (Mrs. Leo Kessinger) of Alamogordo, N.M., Ella (Mrs. Loren Brehmer) of Alva, and Carol and Don Talley of Amorita.
Her parents and her sister Ruth (Mrs. Glenn Cosby) preceded her in death.
Donations to the Okeene Public Library or the Okeene Hospital Foundation would be appreciated and an appropriate memorial to Alice J. Dotter. The funeral home will receive the memorials.
