Thelma Roberta (Switzer) Eichelberger

August 28, 1922 ~ March 16, 2014

Funeral Services for Thelma Roberta Eichelberger, 86 years old Hydro, OK resident, will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., Pleasant View Mennonite Church with Jeff Selzer officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

The Eichelberger Family will meet guests at Lockstone Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 18 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

 Thelma was born August 28, 1922 in Leedey, OK to Rhinehold E. And Rosa (Keefer) Switzer and passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 16, 2014.

Thelma was raised south of Leedey, OK and later moved to the Thomas, OK area where she attended Jabbok School and graduated in 1945. On April 20, 1951, she married Cecil Eichelberger in Weatherford and made their home north of Hydro. Thelma began working for 3M Company in 1969, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed quilting, going to basketball games, family dinners, flowers and gardening and making German Chocolate Cakes for the Hydro Fair.

Memorials may be made to the Hydro First Responders and to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for breast and pancreatic cancer.

Thelma is survived by four sons, Doug Eichelberger and wife, Anita of Hydro, OK, Jeff Eichelberger and wife, Marla of Hydro, OK, Terral Eichelberger of Owasso, OK, and Drew Eichelberger and wife, Ann of Oklahoma City, OK; three daughters, Susan Jepsen and husband, Brad of Shelton, NE, Koleen Neufeld and husband, Ron of Williston, Florida, and Stacy Royalty and husband, Robbie of Thomas, Oklahoma; one sister, Shirley Schneider and husband, Larry of Wichita, Kansas; a sister-in-law that was like her sister, Mary Anna Ruegg of Durham, North Carolina; fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil; five brothers, Ronnie, John, Ray, Jake and Lee; four sisters, Laura Mae, Pearl, Gertie and Katie; and a daughter-in-law, Lauri Eichelberger.
