He was born Dec. 5, 1942, in Okeene to Edna Huston Reames and Roger Reames.
Dick grew up on a farm in Okeene, and during his youth, he was an active member of the 4-H Club and the Boy Scouts. He was a farm boy, and throughout his life, he continued these values in his upbringing.
Dick proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. He moved to Fort Worth, Texas, and began his career with American Quasar Petroleum, where he worked his way up to executive management. Dick ended his oil and gas accounting career when he retired from Denbury Resources in 2005.
After retirement, he moved to Heritage Ranch in Fairview, where he met many wonderful friends and enjoyed being involved in community and church events. Dick spent his retirement traveling the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Edna Reames; and his daughter, Carol Fox.
Survivors: his daughters, Sandra Wilhelm and husband, Bert, of Trophy Club, Texas, Tiffany Derrick and husband, Kirk, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Spencer Wilhelm, Martin Wilhelm, Morgan Fox, Shelby Fox, Cody Derrick and Alex Derrick; brother, Billy Reames and wife, Mary, of Enid; special friends, Kathy Stricker Webster and husband, Charles, of Keller, Texas, D.D. Holmes and husband, Steve, of Bedford, Texas, and Jim Fritze and wife, Phyllis Duncan, of Fairview.
