A memorial service for Zita G. Dickinson, 63, of Canton will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Canton Christian Church with Josh Gores and Steve Driskill officiating.

Zita was born July 5, 1947 at Canton, OK to parents Bert and Eva (Goodman) Moore and departed this life on Saturday evening, November 27, 2010 at Fairview, OK.

She graduated with the Canton High School class of 1965. Zita was a member of the Canton Christian Church and sang in a trio there. She attended Midwest Christian College in Oklahoma City after high school and met her future husband, Nelson Dickinson there. She attained a bachelors of science degree in nursing at Ft. Hays College. Zita married Nelson Dickinson on December 27, 1966 at Canton, OK. She worked for 20 years as a nurse at Grand Junction, CO and had many nursing friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Paul Alan Dickinson in 1997 and eight siblings; Survivors include her husband Nelson Dickinson of Canton, OK; two sons, Joe Dickinson and wife Barbara of Stuttgart, Germany and Roger Dickinson and wife Julianne of Temecula, CA; five granddaughters, Torilla, Meaghan, Eileen, Fallon and Eva; three sisters, Margaret Morris of Canton, OK, Rhetta Jackson of Morgan City, LA and Elva Byers of Cody, WY; one brother, Ricky Moore of Canton, OK; Memorials may be made to Cookson Hills Christian Children’s Home in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724. Condolences may be made online at Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home.

ENID - Memorial service for Zita G. Dickinson, 63, of Canton, will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Canton Christian Church. Arrangements by Haigler -Pierce Funeral Home , Canton.

Born July 5, 1947, in Canton to Bert and Eva Goodman Moore and died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, in Fairview.

Surviving are husband, Nelson; sons, Joe Dickinson of Stuttgart, Germany, and Roger Dickinson of Temecula, Calif.; five granddaughters, Torilla, Meaghan, Eileen, Fallon and Eva; sisters, Margaret Morris of Canton, Rhetta Jackson of Morgan City, La., and Elva Byers of Cody, Wyo.; and brother, Ricky Moore of Canton.

Preceded in death by one son and eight siblings.
