Pinkie Davis

Dec 19, 1907 - Jul 11, 2006

The funeral for Pinkie Davis, 98, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Union Baptist Church, Watonga. The Rev. Jack Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Watonga. Arrangements are by Russworm Funeral Home, Watonga.

She was born Dec. 19, 1907, in Shawnee to Henry and Annie Vwasley Jordan and died Tuesday, July 11, 2006.

She grew up and attended school in Sherman, Texas. In the late-1930s, she moved to Watonga, where she worked at R.B. State House, Roman Nose State Park and Sherill Cafe.

She met and married Raymond Davis. They lived in Blaine County and later moved to Muskogee. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and a member of Mission Society.

Surviving are three daughters, Rosetta Bob and Princetta Fort, both of San Diego, and Lola Bevins of Watonga; two sons, Leo Davis of Oklahoma City and Ralph Davis of Lawton; one brother, Joe Willie Jordan and one sister, Lillie Jordan, both of Watonga; 17 grand children; and 34 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, five sisters and two brothers.
