She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University-Weatherford and received her secretarial certificate in 1973. While at Southwestern she met James David Wright. They moved quite a bit therefore she worked at various jobs such as for an abstract co., water office, grain elevator office, payroll for a construction co. and a teacher’s aide in several schools. In 1984 she began working part time for Wal-Mart and was a department manager, receiving clerk, and office helper. She retired in 2017 after 33 1/2 years with the company.
She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. She served her Lord in several capacities: the church as committee member, Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school teacher and communion steward. She was blessed to be able to go on one mission trip to Mexico in 1990. Her hobbies were sports, cross-stitching, tending her yard and garden.
