Jimmy Lee Sessions, Jr. was born April 12, 1962 and gained his heavenly wings January 23, 2022 at the age of 59. He graduated from Canton High School in 1981. Jimmy was working at Napa in Fairview, OK at the time of his death as a store manager and he had worked at USG in Southard, OK for many years prior to that.
Jimmy married JoAnna Cramer in 1982 and from that union they had 3 boys – Justin, Dustin, and Preston. In 2005, Jimmy met Yvette “Star” Barnett and they enjoyed their lives together until his death.
Jimmy was a loving, caring, kind soul with a compassionate spirit. He was always able to make friends and share conversations with others wherever he went. He is remembered as a good friend to many and a bit hard-headed.
Jimmy loved spending time with friends and family. His greatest joys in life were his three boys and his grandchildren. He was a great father – a “HERO” in the eyes of his sons, a loving husband, the Best Papa, and a caring brother.
Jimmy loved going to the races and talking to others about racing. He enjoyed watching his family race. Racing was always a big part of his life, he also enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; Jimmy “Jim” Lee Sessions, Sr. and Phillis Sessions. Jimmy is survived by his wife Yvette Barnett, his boys - Justin Sessions and Kristen, Dustin Sessions and Kyle, Preston Sessions and Elizabeth and one step son Shelby Glass. Grandchildren – Xavier, Nicholas, Tinley, Seth, Landon, Emma, Gabby, Lucas, Zaiden, Peyton, Paris, Shelby, Donate, and Faithlyn. Brothers - Tony Sessions and Tonya, Ricky Sessions and Karma, and one sister, Lisa Haigler. Jimmy also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the Canton Christian Church with Keith Robinett officiating. Burial will be at the Longdale Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton. Condolence messages may be written at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
