ENID — Funeral services for Bob Dean Kummell, 67, of Enid, will be Monday, Jan.
31, 2011, at 10 a.m. in Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Holt
officiating. Burial will follow in Longdale Cemetery under the kind guidance of
the Stittsworth Funeral Service. Visitation with the family will be Sunday
evening from 5-7 p.m. at Stittsworth Funeral Service.
Bob was born on July 10, 1943, in Eagle City, the son of Leroy and Mabel Smith
Kummell and passed away early Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Regional Medical
Center. Mr. Kummell was a loyal father to his two daughters. He raised them in
Clinton until the time they were both married.
He began employment with Northcutt Chevrolet on July 21, 1987, where his
friendliness and warmth in dealing with the public provided him with a loyal
following of return customers, some which ultimately became his personal
friends. Mr. Kummell retired in 2006 due to health reasons. He was best known
for his generosity and kindness, a virtue he persued every day of his life.
Bob gave to his loved ones freely, without cause or reservation, even when it
meant personal sacrifice. He had a personal affinity for all animals and kept
horses, dogs, cats with such fondness and attention that those who knew him well
called them his children.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Sheldon Collins and husband Richard of
Randlett, Okla.; Toni Boyer and husband Randal of Wellston, Okla.; five
children, Colby Archer and fiance' Jennifer of Weatherford; Amelia and Molly
Collins of Randlett; Valerie King and husband Doug; 2 great-grandchildren,
Alexander and Salena Rose of Choctaw and Matthew Boyer of Wellston; brothers
Wayne, Gary and Rick.
Memorials may be made in Bob's memory to OMRF, stroke division, with Stittsworth
Funeral Service coordinating. Condolences may be made to the family online at
