ENID — Memorial service for Nelson “Doug” Outhier, 57, will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Doug was born to Ray and Bea (Nelson) Outhier on April 23, 1954, in Cherokee and died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, in Enid.

Doug graduated from high school at Carmen Dacoma and then attended college in Alva.

He was a farmer, oilfield worker and trucker.

Doug enjoyed camping, boating and fishing.

He is survived by two sisters, Sondra (Carroll) Sturgeon of Dodge City, Kan., and Melinda Lawrence (John) of Sand Springs; nieces, Tammy Dresser of Edmond and Mindy Lawrence of Salina.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents.

ENID — A memorial service for Nelson Douglas Outhier, who passed away Dec. 4, 2011, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Homestead Bible Church in Homestead, Okla. Family and friends are welcome.

We ask in lieu of flowers a donation to Homestead Cemetery or the charity of donor’s choice be given in Doug’s memory.
