A graveside service for Robert Gilman Loud, 90, of Wakefield, Kan., will be 2
p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008, in Homestead Cemetery, Homestead. Arrangements are
by Wilkinson Mortuary, Okeene.
He was born March 3, 1918, at Quincy, Mass. to Cady and Alice Loud and died
Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008.
He attended Quincy schools. He married Dolores Strader Aug. 29, 1969, at San
Diego. He retired from the Navy after 23 years of service. He worked and retired
from Bay City Marine, San Diego, as a shipbuilder. He moved to Wakefield, Kan.
in 2002. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Bella Vista, Ark.
Surviving are his wife, Dolores of Wakefield; one son, Gary Kenneth Bower of San
Diego; one daughter, Kathryn Dill of Clay Center, Kan.; three grandchildren; and
three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and one son.
