BIXBY - The funeral for Ruby Marie Outhier Hanson, 89, of Bixby, formerly of
Homestead, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2010, at Mennonite Brethren
Church, Fairview. The Rev. Brad Penner will officiate. Burial will be in
Homestead Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc. Visitation
will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and 9-11 a.m. Friday prior to the service at the
funeral home.
She was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Butler to Frank Clarence Outhier and Nellie
Lucille Vaughn and died Monday, April 26, 2010, at South Town Nursing Home,
Bixby.
She was raised and educated in Homestead.
She married Floyd Henry Hanson in 1942. They made their home near Southard until
the 1950s, when they moved to Homestead to farm and ranch. She was a homemaker
and helped with the farm. She also mowed the Homestead Cemetery for several
years.
Surviving are one son, Harold Hanson of Broken Arrow; one daughter, Sherry
Hanson of Homestead; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Fairview Regional Medical
Center.
