Roberta Mae Hidlebaugh, 92, of Blanchard, formerly of Elk City and Hesperia, California, died Friday, February 23, 2018, in Blanchard. The daughter of George Nathan Wells and Coriene Anna (Foote) Wells, she was born September 13, 1925 in Hydro, Oklahoma.
Roberta was Nazarene in faith and taught Sunday School for many years. She served as PTA President, a Girl Scout leader for her children and grandchildren, and a stand-in Boy Scout leader. In her spare time, she enjoyed flower gardening, knitting, and crocheting, and was pleased to be able to give all her children and grandchildren a blanket. She loved to sing and dance. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Clarence Hidlebaugh; two sons, Larry Minor and Frank Hidlebaugh; one daughter, Betty McLain; three sisters, Mickey, Olive, and Ruth; and three brothers, Bill, Keith, and Neil.
She is survived by three daughters, June Price of Texas, Sheri Hidlebaugh of Blanchard, and Karie Burchette of Blanchard; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Hidlebaugh of Blanchard; twelve grandchildren, Lori Costa of California, David Minor and wife, Dana, of California, Eric Hattendorf and wife, Jeanette, of Alabama, Destery Hidlebaugh and wife, Peggy, of Texas, Reggie Mitchell of Texas, Stacy Montgomery and wife, Kara, of Tulsa, James Montgomery of Blanchard, Corine Smith and husband, Jason, of Blanchard, Courtney Wynn of Oklahoma City, Ryan Hidlebaugh and wife, Lois, of Texas, Scott Mesna and wife, Crystal, of Del City, Olivia Cool and husband, Dennis, of Virginia; granddog, Molly; 35 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday,
February 27, 2018, at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at
10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home
Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at the Hydro Masonic
Cemetery in Hydro, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of
Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are
