Royal Payne's Rites Thursday: Royal Payne, 73, of 111 NE 15, died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital. Services will be at 2:30 pm Thursday in FirstMethodist Church, Hitchcock, with burial in Hitchcock Cemetery, 
Guardian Funeral Home will be in charge of services.
Payne was born in Kansas and settled near Hitchcock in 1898. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1918. He was a
driller for Kerr-McGee Oil Industries, Inc., for 30 years, retiring in 1955.

He was a veteran of World War I, a Mason and member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs F E Lawson and Miss Opal Payne, both of the home; Mrs Lora Foretz, Stockton, Calif., and Mrs Ruby VanZandt, of Hot Springs, Ark.
