Alana Schroeder

April 24, 1953 ~ Jan. 7, 2009

The funeral for Alana Schroeder, 55, of Okeene, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Mennonite Brethren Church, Okeene. The Rev. Bennet Peters will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenfeld Cemetery , Okeene. Arrangements are by Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene.

She was born April 24, 1953, in Fairview to Allen and Madeline Lamle Schroeder and died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009.

She graduated from Okeene High School, then graduated from St. Anthony's School of Nursing, Oklahoma City. She lived in Crescent two years. She was a N.I.C.U. Registered Nurse at Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City, more than 25 years. She attended Community Crossing Church, Oklahoma City, and was a member of Mennonite Brethren Church, Okeene.

Surviving are one son, Brad Heitmeyer of Fort Erie Ontario, Canada; one daughter, Katherine Bristol of Del City; one brother, Gene Schroeder of Okeene; two sisters, Carolyn Keeton of Weatherford and Joyce Browning of Kent,Wash.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Ebenfeld Cemetery.
