He married Theo Weldon on Feb. 7, 1941, and raised 3 wonderful sons, David, Tim and Mike.
During Sam’s life, he served in WWII as a radio communications operator, owned and operated his own TV repair shop and began farming. His sons farmed with him, and he taught them everything he knew. Sam was never afraid of hard work.
Sam never knew a stranger. He was a kind, loving man. He loved going to football and basketball games and any other sport that his children or grandchildren participated in. He loved being out on the farm alongside of his boys. He also enjoyed visits with his family.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. His survivors include his wife, Theo, of the home; three sons, Mike and Terri, Tim and Brenda, and David and Benita, all of Okeene; one brother, Robert Fox, and two sisters, Wiladene Kliewer and Floriagene and Frank Gerlak; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; his caregiver, Stephanie Thomas of Fairview, Okla., along with other family members and friends.
