MRS. A. A. FISHER DEAD Amelia arnbrecht was born on November 1, 1873 in Russia and died at the Holcombe Hospital, Okeene, Oklahoma, August 28, 1925, age 51 years 9 months and 28 days. Mrs. Fisher had been in poor health for some time and underwent an operation for relief but to no avail. In 1875 she came to Marion, Kansas, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Arnbrecht, where she spent her young womanhood. On December 12, 1891, she was united in marriage to Mr. Adam A. Fisher. To this union eleven children were born, of which one, a son, passed before her to the home beyond. In 1896 she gave her heart to God and was baptised by Rev. Adam Fisher Sr. and taken into the Mennonite Brethren Church of Okeene, of which she remained a true and active member until her Great Master called her home. She leaves to mourn her death, a beloved husband, A. A. Fisher; three daughters, Mrs. A. A. Steinle, Mrs Aaron Schnell and Lillian Fisher, all of Okeene; seven sons, Ed Fisher of Wichita, Kansas, Herb Fisher of Hoodsport, Washington, Will Fisher and Ted, Roy, Elmer and Victor, All of Okeene; six grandchildren, three sisters, one brother; and other relatives and a host of friends. Though she is gone, sweet memories still remain. What we have lost, heaen alone did gain. She, who was a mother, so kind, true and dear. We shall meet in the home where there will be on tear. |
