John Melvin Fondren was born October 14, 1970 to Leslie Aaron Fondren and Paulette Gaye Grabow-Lasiter in Fredrick, Oklahoma. He went to be with our heavenly father on November 19, 2020 at the age of 50 from his home in Fay, Oklahoma.
John graduated from Anadarko High School in 1989. He worked for the City of Denton, Taco Bueno, Denton State School, EduCare and the Center of Family Love.
He enjoyed drawing pictures, going bowling, playing pool, watching sports and game shows, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his father Leslie Fondren, his grandparents Melvin and Mary Ann Grabow and John Wesley and Emma Fondren, one uncle John Wesley Fondren Jr. and one nephew Austin Bennett.
He is survived by his mother Paulette Lasiter of Fay, Oklahoma, sister Anna Roberts and husband Ross of Fay, Oklahoma, a brother Chad Fondren and wife Katie Fondren of Selling, Oklahoma and sister Twyla Kimbrough and husband Frank of Watonga, Oklahoma. Fifteen nieces and nephews as well as other family and friends.
Funeral services for John Fondren will be held Saturday, November 28 at 2:00pm at the Oasis Church in Watonga, Oklahoma with Pastor Zachary Brack officiating. Burial will follow in the Eagle City Cemetery at Eagle City, Oklahoma with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Also, a viewing will be held Friday, November 27 from 11am-8pm at Wilkinson Mortuary.
