Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Eagle City Christian Church.
Interment will follow in Eagle City Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

Twillah Mae Cox was born July 23, 1936 to Johnie Melvin and Bessie Mae (Stinson) Ice in Watonga, Oklahoma. She attended primary school at Greenfield and Junior High and High School in Fay, Oklahoma. She graduated high school in 1954. She worked at a cafe in Watonga, when she met Kenneth Cox. After a couple years of courtship they married on August 4, 1956.
They were blessed with three children, Kevin Lane born July 14, 1957, Kathryn Shaun born January 27, 1960 and Kerry Wayne born January 9, 1961. Twillah attended Sayre Jr. College, USAO in Chickasha and Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She taught elementary school in Watonga and Canton for many years before staying home on the farm to take care of her children. She enjoyed being outdoors gardening, watching hummingbirds and playing with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gayle and Gurn; two sisters, Tincie and Barbara; and two sons, Kevin and Kerry. Twillah is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Kathryn Shaun; sister, Nancy Chitwood; grandson Matthew Thompson and wife Kayce; granddaughter Kassandra Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Hayden, Emberly and Lennley Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the
Eagle City Christian Church with Pastor Monte Michaelson officiating. Interment
will follow in Eagle City Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home,
Canton. Memorials may be made to the Eagle City Christian Church or the Fay
Community Center with the funeral home acting as custodian at P.O. Box 36,
Canton, OK 73724. Condolences may be made online at
