ENID, Okla. — Donita Ramona Cavett was born to Bill and Ruth Overstreet of Eagle City, OK, on October 10, 1928. She departed this life Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Oklahoma City, OK.

Ramona grew up in the Eagle City area, graduating from Eagle City High School.

Ramona met Marion Cavett at a church retreat, and they were married May 11, 1947. They lived on a farm in the Eagle City/Oakwood area for 12 years and raised three boys – Danny, Kent and Larry – before moving to Canton.

She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. William Davis for several years, managed Southard Cafe and later owned and managed Canton Cafe.

After selling Canton Cafe, she went to work at HollyTech in Watonga, OK. Later, she prepared meals for the Senior Citizens Center for several years until retirement.

Ramona loved to travel with camping buddies. Nothing was more important than her family and her brother and sisters in Christ.

Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Marion, and her sister, Stella Mae.

She is survived by her three sons, Danny Cavett and wife Jeanie of Moore, OK, William Kent Cavett of Fairview, OK, and Larry Cavett and wife Sue of Yukon, OK; eight grandchildren, Mark Cavett, Tonya Groves, Eric Cavett, Scott Cavett, Donita Villarama, Paul Cavett, Suzanne Cavett and Joshua Cavett; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, at Canton Church of Christ. Reuben Rog will officiate. Interment will follow in Eagle City Cemetery under direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to Cavett Kids Foundation, with the funeral home serving as custodian, at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
